9-11 Strikes Alabama!

Alabama Launches a Preemptive
After losing to Mississippi State and Louisiana-Monroe in back-to-back games, Alabama coach Nick Saban compared the loss to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.
The damage caused by Louisiana-Monroe has been calculated as 9/11 times 100, or 911,000. North Korea’s Kim Jong Il says this is just the start. He says that against Auburn next week, Alabama will be attacked with “9/11 times 956,000!” Expert mathematicians couldn’t even figure out how much that was. In a way only a football coach could put it, Saban said, “Changes in history usually occur after some kind of catastrophic event. It may be 9-11, which sort of changed the spirit of America relative to catastrophic events. Pearl Harbor kind of got us ready for World War II, or whatever, and that was a catastrophic event.” Quite eloquent… or whatever. Current LSU coach Les Miles was in tears when he heard about the tragedy. Obviously, this tragedy puts Alabama as America’s new America’s Team, rendering us apathetic about the past two: San Diego (fires) and Virginia Tech. More Posts
